Should Bernie Sanders pull a Joe and become a defacto Vice President?
Edited on Mon Dec-14-09 03:51 PM by Armstead
By threatening to take his ball home, Big Joe gets to be vice president after all.

I'm kinda thinking that the other "Independent" Senator who caucuses with the Democrats ought to be looking at the outsized power Joe wields because of his position.

"I will vote to block consideration of any health care bill that does not include some form of robust public option or medicare buy in."

Think Bernie ought to get out the Big Stick?

2. Joe only has power because he is indifferent to failure.
What would someone like Sanders gain from actually folowing through and killing the bill?

4. Itr's the threat that seems to count...Not the actual vote
I was being semi facetious in my OP -- but only semi.If Bernie were able to steer things in the way Joe is doing with the threat, then maybe he ought to at least make them sweat and do some reconsideration to the side of real reform.

6. There is a big difference between Joe and Bernie--Bernie will handle it like a man of true
conscience while Joe handles it like a man in bed with the insurance companies.
