Senator Dodd spending a good bit of his farewell speech to speak against changing filibuster rules

Senator Dodd, the Senate is broken when you have one party who seeks power at all costs and gives not a wit for playing by the rules of the Senate. Dodd seems to think relationships can be built with those across the aisle. Perhaps that was true, but it is no longer the case.

The Senate is dysfunctional. The rules have been changed and they can and must be changed again.

4. Dodd is my Senator...my soon to be retired Senator. Bring on Blumenthal!
Chris Dodd has done some good things for Connecticut over the years but he simply was there too long and let it corrupt him over time. It was time for him to go. The Senate ceased being a place where relationships across party lines matter. It all changed during Clinton and Bush. The Rethugs stopped wanting to work with the Dems.
