Luke Russert looks like he's lost weight
Edited on Tue Nov-17-09 01:51 PM by bigdarryl
He was just on MSNBC being interviewed on capital hill. The young man is showing a lot of talent I predict after Gregory is done with Meet The Press he will follow I give him 10 more years

16. Yep, if his last name wasn't Russet he'd be lucky to be working
at a Buffalo TV station..

2. Hope he doesn't turn into a corporate rightwing toady like his father.

That would be Tim "I'm wearing a Bush pin on the inside of my lapel" Russert.

7. I'll bet that there are a lot of seasoned reporters at MSNBC
who are fit to be tied that that little $hit of Tim Russert's has leap-frogged over them to wind up on TV just about everyday.

12. If they decide to keep MTP around...
...and I, for one, think it has long outlived its usefulness...Rachel Maddow should be given serious consideration. She is competent, able to hold her own, and calls people on their bullshit. Much like MTP did back in the day of Spivak, et. al.

23. I don't mind nepotism as long as they start at the bottom
I know how the real world works and have worked with several people whose mommies and daddies got them jobs in my company - but honestly, as long as they started at the bottom and worked their way up it was OK. This kind of stuff with Timmy's boy - it just stinks.

19. He's a result of nepotism and I can not stand his hubristic
self indulgence for a moment. I switch the tube if he is so much as mentioned. Feh. Ten years is a long time to ride on the coat tails of a father few really liked much to begin with, outside his tiny world of NBC News, where they just went too far in trying to pawn this kid off on the public.
These are not jobs that should be inherited. They need to be earned. Gregory sucks too much to watch, but he's at least done work that explains how he got there without mentioning his Daddy. Luke sucks and has to mention Daddy.
I'd be happy to see him go earn a place in the world like others do. You can ride coat tails to the middle, but you can not fuck or coat tail ride to the top.

20. While other people's sons were sent to Iraq to fight a war
that his father helped sell to the American people, Luke was getting preferential treatment for internships at NBC.
