Woman who questioned Obama on jobs, loses hers

Velma Hart, who burst onto the media scene after telling President Obama she was scared about her financial future, has been laid off. Hart was let go as the chief financial officer for Am Vets, a nonprofit Maryland-based veteran services organization.

Hart has become another casualty of the tough economy in which so many people have lost their jobs.

"It's not anything she did," said Jim King, the national executive director of Am Vets. "She got bit by the same snake that has bit a lot of people. It was a move to cut our bottom line. Most not-for-profits are seeing their money pinched." ...

1. She was trashed mercilessly here..
as if, because of her CFO title, she was an upper crust elitist.

I hope the ones who participated in the derision still have a sense of shame.

I actually thought she was planted to ask that question...
...to give Obama the chance to "flex"- let him handle a "tough crowd". I guess I was wrong. I hope Velma finds a job soon. She seemed like a good person.

3. In other news, millions more lost theirs.
This woman is irrelevant.

4. Why is this particularly newsworthy?
Publicizing this would almost make it seem as though President Obama had *something* to do with her losing her job because she questioned him.
