5. I'm not surprised. But I am sure sorry that Mr. Meek was a sacrificial lamb in that entire affair.

The entire situation in Florida sadly brought up a lot of ugly issues under the surface of the Big Tent. The deriding of Mr. Obama's character lifts another. The support of Mr. Crist (although he made no assurances before hand) is yet another.

All three situations are enguled in hypocrisy, cruelty and cynism.

Oh well. Politics is a cutthroat and ugly business.
