Crist promised to vote with rethugs if elected
Its a mote point I know, but there were a lot of people on here advocating for him.

"From his hospital room, he was active in supporting several conservative candidates he believed in, including Charles Crist, who ran for a U.S. Senate seat from Florida as an independent. Dole told one reporter he extracted a promise that Crist would vote for Republican control of the Senate if elected."

2. According to rethug Bob Dole
I think crist probably did everything, but bend over backwards (ummmm) to get rethug votes, dems votes, and indie votes.

3. Although it might be true, because Bob Dole said it, it probably isn't.

4. OK well Meek did right to stay then, to prevent hat alone. At least Rubio says it clearly on the ...
label.

5. I'm not surprised. But I am sure sorry that Mr. Meek was a sacrificial lamb in that entire affair.

The entire situation in Florida sadly brought up a lot of ugly issues under the surface of the Big Tent. The deriding of Mr. Obama's character lifts another. The support of Mr. Crist (although he made no assurances before hand) is yet another.

All three situations are enguled in hypocrisy, cruelty and cynism.

Oh well. Politics is a cutthroat and ugly business.
