Biden to GOP: "Forgive me if I laugh in your face"
http://www.bostonherald.com/news/politics/view.bg?articleid=1292717

“How can Perry or the Republican Party talk with a straight face about fiscal responsibility? Give me a break,” Biden said. “Next time a Republican talks to you about fiscal responsibility, tell them, ‘Forgive me if I laugh in your face.’ It’s bizarre. It’s bizarre. They have no credibility.”

48. I doubt Anita Hill thinks so.
Why you ask, because he blocked witnesses for Anita ( women who were harassed like she was) during the Thomas brouhaha. I don't like him so much for that.

12. I have always had such a soft spot for him...
...he's not perfect, but when he's right, he's really right. And funny too!

Seriously, every Dem should be out there saying "Republicans have no credibility on issues of fiscal responsibility!" When the popular narrative is wrong, people should be out saying it's wrong, instead of just conceding the issue to the other side.

I have never heard a Democrat on a TV program pointing out Republican hypocrisy on the fiscal issue. By doing this they as much as admit it is true.

22. $9.2 TRILLION TO BE EXACT, here's the graph
THE LAST 3 REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTS HAVE ACCOUNTED FOR NEARLY 100% OF OUR INCREASE IN THE NATIONAL DEBT SINCE 1981

Every President, from Truman to Carter, steadily paid down the staggering debt that was run up in our fight against Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. That pattern came to a screeching halt with Reagan/Bush and Bush. Clinton’s fiscal policy was a brief respite during this orgy of deficit spending.

Clinton balanced 5 budgets, which is 5 times as many balanced budgets as the last 5 Republican presidents combined.

President Obama, like President Clinton, inherited a sea of red ink and a recession from his predecessor. He, like President Clinton, recognizes the importance of getting America back to work and then getting our fiscal house in order.

They are not telling people that it was the Repukes who voted against PAYGO. They also voted against the Commission for "Fiscal Responsibility," or whatever the hell the name is...

I'm sorry, Joe. I love you, but the Dems have totally failed on message. It is the Republicans who are responsible for this mess. And they want to add to the deficit with their filthy tax cuts for the wealthy. AND most important of all--they voted against PAYGO!!!

39. So I guess we dont have to worry
about a new Repub Congress trying to cut spending?

Wew thats a relief!

Truth be told NEITHER party has ANY credibility on "fiscal responsibility"

But as the disclaimer goes in investing, "Past performance does not guarentee future results"

I would bet the a new Repub Congress will propose MASSIVE spending cuts becasue they were thrown out in 2006 in part because they embraced defeceit spending like no ones business, so they are going to try, at least initially, to prove they have "learned their lesson" The tea baggers will make sure of it.

Just trying to be objective and "tell it like it is"...

how the Repukes were going to afford all this crazy crap, said in a sly smile "We're going to borrow it". No shit they borrowed, and GENERATIONS of our children are going to have to work to pay this back. When they say fiscal responsibility they mean social programs. They will borrow another 20 trillion to fund more wars if enough of them get elected.
