PPP's final Pennsylvania poll: Toomey 51% Sestak 46%
This poll was released just a few minutes ago:

Here is a link to their methodology---

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/PPP_Release_PA_10311118.pdf

Things tightened up over the last month but in the end it appears Republicans are headed for a sweep in Pennsylvania: Pat Toomey leads by 5 and Tom Corbett leads by 7.

PPP's last poll in Pennsylvania had Sestak up by 1.

1. That's close enough to be winnable.
Polls can give a general idea of how a race is going but don't take them too seriously.

3. Methodology says that 25% of Democrats in Pennsylvania do not approve of Obama
and from that fraction they are voting for Toomey at a 68-23 margin.

Sestak does lead by 5 point in early voting but I think that usually favors Democrats anyway.

5. the first year early voting favored dems was in 08--prior to that it was the GOP
who usually led in most states with early voting. Obama changed that. It actually is quite significant that the dems lead in several of these states in early voting.

4. Liars and their lying lies.
A constant barrage of ads in PA blaming Sestak for the Bush bailouts and Onorato for the North Side subway tunnel, a project started by his republican predecessors.

7. Why wouldn't Toomey win in PA?

He'll let them keep their guns.
He'll make sure every knee bends at Jesus' name -- even though he's a 'libertarian'.
He'll make sure foreigners live in fear of us.
From time to time he'll try to have some of them blown up.
He'll make sure that that colored people, and those gays, know their place.
He'll piss liberals off.

That's America.

You could run and win in 1846 on that platform, or in 2010.
That's what America has been pretty much since its inception.
That's what We The People want, have wanted, will still want, when everyone on this board has died of old age.

2006 was an aberration, and 2008 was a miracle.
