and fighter jets escorting planes. The packages contained no explosives, and the timeline is very strange. Looks like another manufactured "security" issue, obviously they want to bring in some new law.

on edit.. Update: Strangely, they know this harmless package is on board the plane... why then didn't they take it off and search the plane before it left. Instead they are escorting the plane into New York with fighter jets. This story is getting weirder by the minute.

packages, and we're supposed to be freaked out that people send packages from Yemen. Do they have any idea how much stuff comes into the US via our ports that nobody ever looks at?

I've had the TV on for the last hour, to see if MSNBC will cover any news they might be able to report some facts about. So far, all I've seen in a 2-3 minutes' worth of content interlaced with a lot of bullshit filler. There's no good reason for them to park on this story.
