For two years before President Obama's inauguration, Republicans claimed the economy was strong
Bush: Economy strong, the proof on eBay (2007)

``It confirms our strong economy - fueled by Republican tax relief and pro-growth policies - is helping to balance the budget without raising taxes,'' said House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio. He argued that Democratic budget policies would worsen the deficit and lead to an unraveling of many of the Bush tax cuts. (2007)

John Boehner: Strong Economy, Spending Restraint the Keys to a Balanced Budget (2007)

Thanks to Republican pro-growth policies, local businesses are finding new markets for American goods and services, creating new jobs here at home. "The site is currently under construction. We are looking forward to relaunching the site and fostering a discussion on just how Nancy Pelosi and her Democratic colleagues' plan to spend their way out of recession is absurd at best and financially ruinous at worst."

When was it last updated? Wasn't there an election in 2008?
