Lou Dobbs Suggests Senate Run "On My Mind"
>>>Lou Dobbs, who recently resigned from hosting a nightly show on CNN, said in his first interview since his resignation that he is "going to remain in the public arena."
Dobbs was asked by Fox News' Bill O'Reilly if he is considering a Senate run in New Jersey.

"A lot of things are on my mind, I'm not going to be coy about this," Dobbs said, though he neglected to answer the question directly. He went on to say he is "thinking about a lot of opportunities."

O'Reilly then asked Dobbs if President Obama is "the devil." (Yes, you read that right.)

"He's not the devil, but he is certainly a man who is right now not making it easy to understand why he's making the public policy choices that he is," said Dobbs, who left CNN to "carry the banner of advocacy journalism" in a more appropriate venue, in the words of network president Jonathan Klein. >>>

1. First, Loud Obbs (sic) has to take some speech lessons
so he doesn't sound drunk when he talks.

Obbs is a total jerk.

3. Menendez' term is up in 2012, and he's not unpopular
Edited on Tue Nov-17-09 12:20 AM by brentspeak
Not popular, but not unpopular. And NJ residents shy away from supporting candidates who are the least bit controversial, as Dobbs is. Also, despite the pretty large FOX News-watching/Rush Limbaugh crowd here, it's hard to say if there would be much conservative support for him; Dobbs' defense of the middle-class directly contradicts the underlying motivations of the GOP and the people who write the checks for RW talk radio hosts. I don't see Dobbs having a chance here -- unless things get so desperate in NJ that even a below-the-radar, middle-of-the-road politician like Menendez suddenly has an endangered career.

5. I didn't realize Obama was supposed to make his policies "easy to understand"
I assumed Obama was going more for effective than easy to understand. He can't dumb his policies down just so Lou Dobbs can figure them out. That's what the last guy did.

9. I'm totally willing to donate $1.00 to his campaign...
So he has to spend $3.00 doing paperwork on it.

10. For eight years real America
wanted to know why in the hell bush made the decisions he did.

War in Iraq
Eating cake while New Orleans drowned
Tax Cuts for the rich
Tax credit to businesses who moved jobs overseas
No bid contracts to Halliburton

And that's just a few. Wonder why all the fox bunch didn't wonder about that.
