People bitching about Larry Persily appointment don't even know who he is.

The guy worked for 3 different Alaskan governors, not just the Palin administration.

And EXTREMELY qualified for the job he was appointed to according to Senator Begich and a multitude of other Alaskans on both sides of the aisle.

He has been appointed to oversee an infrastructure project, something that shouldn't concern partisan affiliation in the first place. But since some have attempted to make an issue out of this appointment, I thought I would make this post to point out some facts about who this guy is and shed some light on the sheer knee jerk stupidity that some posters engage in.

There is a portion here on DU that are actually worse then the PUMA's.. and I didn't think that was possible. Actually.. now that I think about it- 3/4's of these people were probably PUMA's to begin with.. they just needed new reasons to be enraged.

As I read through the responses from the poster with the PEACE sign I find it ironic that for someone that loves PEACE so much, why the anger, why the taunts, why the hate?

That should have no place at DU, I continue to be disappointed by that and wish that somehow we can feel comfortable here real soon.
