Palin, Prejean and Bachman, Beck, Limbaugh, Hannity.

They want to hear them speak. They pay for their books.

They jump on the band wagon of people so easy.

Where is the educated, intelligent GOP leaders?

They all seem either crazy (backman) or stupid (palin).

Wow, talk about a lack of options for 2012.

2. The stupids are in it to make money
the followers see themselves as victims of some unfair system and unable (unwilling?) to do anything about it, they listen to idiots who reinforce their victimhood and sense that they are oppressed (it's not your fault, its the media, its the blacks, its the people who hate Christians, its Arabs. You don't have to work hard to achieve something, you have been exploited by the "others" so just buy my book and I'll commiserate about how the dirty rotten hippy liberals look down their noses at you and want to take all your money in taxes. At least I'll give you a book for your money.)

It's a powerful message if you are truly stuck. And all GOP leaders are doing it now. Palin is the biggest victim in the bunch.

8. And the people who buy their books are buying them...
just because they hate Dems because in Sarah Palin's case they know damn well she isn't qualified for Pres and the Prejean women is just a sex symbol.

7. They control the message, the media.
I'm watching Senator Coburn on C-Span's Washington Journal right now doing an insurance industry commercial. When his segment is over there will be no counter balance to his one sided rant about how awful reform would be.

So, my point is that their, the GOP point of view is all people hear. They come to believe these RW heros are perfectly reasonable.
