1. Clinton needs to be going to places we actually NEED to win and have a shot at winning.
Like Nevada and Wisconsin.

20. Meeks is not going to win. He's like 26 points behind Rubio.
Neither he or Crist will win this thing. It's now lost. Clinton can go campaign for Meek's second place finish, but what does that get him?

4. Charlie Crist is the spoiler here. His numbers are going south.
Edited on Fri Oct-08-10 02:36 PM by flpoljunkie
We need Democrats to come out and vote for the Democratic candidates. It's not impossible, if Dems give up on the mistaken idea that Crist can beat Rubio. He can't. If Crist was within striking distance of Rubio, I would hold my nose very tightly, and vote for Crist--but he is not. So, I plan to vote for the Democratic candidate, Kendrick Meek, and will feel very good about it.

We also absolutely need Democrats to come out and vote for Alex Sink--who is far better qualified to be our next governor. We must keep the fraudster Rick Scott out of Tallahassee--particularly with redistricting coming up after the just completed census.

The Florida Chamber of Commerce is working very hard to keep their GOP lackeys in control of our state. We must not let that happen!

14. Well said

Perhaps he'll meet with Crist while he's there and knock some common sense into him? Crist is hurting dems, not
the jerk who pushed him off the repug ballot. Time for Crist to wake up and look for something else. There's no
future for him with the repugs, so why burn both bridges?

21. It's too late in the game to change this race...
Rubio isn't going to lose. It's just that simple. Unless Crist pulls out tomorrow, the best we can hope for is Meek finishing a distant third, maybe 20-25 points behind Rubio.

Clinton campaigning for Meek ain't gonna do the job. He's too far behind Rubio. If he were only five, even ten points behind Rubio, I'd say go for it. But he's not even close.

5. I can't blame Clinton for helping an old friend.
Meek has always been a strong supporter of Bill and Hillary. President Clinton probably feels that he has earned his assistance.

22. Meek is fighting for a second place finish...
That's what this race is about now. Who'll finish second, Meek or Crist. Neither one has a prayer of topping Rubio. So Clinton is essentially going out there in hopes of getting enough support behind Meek for he can pass Crist.

Wow. Awesome. Meanwhile, we're legitimately losing ground in Wisconsin and Nevada. There are closer races in California and Washington. Races that Democrats can actually win.

Meek is done. Crist is done. Rubio will win regardless if Clinton campaigns there. But whatever. I hope Clinton still plans on going out to California, Washington, Wisconsin and Nevada.

26. Then go campaign with Sink, not Meek.
C'mon, not hard to understand!

Clinton is needed in more important states. States that we're either on the verge of losing or could lose.

Florida is lost. Meek is done. There are dozens of other races where Clinton could do a lot more than this one.

29. Think black turnout
Doesn't happen if he's not mobilizing for Meek. That helps Sink and every other Dem in the state.

8. Every day Clinton spends campaigning for a lost cause is a wasted day
There's only 25 days until election day. Clinton needs to go places where he can tip the balance for Democrats.

Meek is 25-30 points back. At best, Clinton can cut that lead in half. Meek's not going to win, short of a major scandal hitting Rubio.... and even then, it is unlikely.

Clinton is too valuable a resource to waste on a race like that one. Send him to Nevada, PA, Washington State, or Kentucky... places where we have a chance to win.

12. Crist Is Toast. A Vote For Him Is Pointless.
The tragic thing is Rubio will use his Senate seat to poach Latino votes on the national stage. Why do you think Jeb Bush groomed him for this day?

23. Both are a lost cause...
Crist isn't going to drop out. His numbers could fall all the way to 10% and Meek still would be about 10% behind Rubio statewide. As is, Meek is about 25% behind Rubio.

He's toast. Crist is toast. This seat is toast. Neither Crist or Meek has a chance.

13. Why bother? Look at the numbers-- I just don't get it.
Or maybe something is going on that I'm not seeing and that's not showing in the polls but as of the last time I looked, this is not going well for Kendrick. In fact, it's not going well for Crist either- at this moment, I'm not even sure if one of them backed out (hot that this would happen) if either of them would win. Rubio has billions behind him- not to mention they own the voting machines. It sucks- and I've been making calls for Meek and am planning to vote for him but I just don't seen why Clinton being her is going to make that big of a difference. Sadly.

Crist is the spoiler here. His numbers are going south. If he can't win, why vote for him? Vote for the Democrat Kendrick Meek. And, help keep the Medicare fraudster Rick Scott out of Tallahassee!

If you are referring to 92 there was a time when him, Bush Pere, and Perot were polling within points of one another.

19. The Big Dog knows what he is doing. By showing up for Meek, he can energize the
African American vote and ensure they turn out on election day and vote D. Hopefully that will be enough to elect Sink and we have a Democratic governor heading into the '12 POTUS election.

If the Democrats were to unite behind Meek, they could win this race. Crist and Rubio will split a large portion of the Republican vote and a united Democratic Party could easily take this race.

34. Bill Clinton's Campaign Schedule - Courtesy of Google News - The Internets are an Amazing Thing
The former President has already done almost sixty events for this election cycle with more to come

West Virginia for Manchin - October 11th

Kentucky for Conway - October 11th

Central New York (Syracuse) for U.S. Rep. Dan Maffei - October 11th evening rally

Arkansas for Lincoln - October 13th

California for Jerry Brown - October 15th and 17th

Washington state for Patty Murray - October 18th

Florida for Meek - October 19th

Maryland fundraisers for Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski, the state's Democratic Party and Gov. Martin O'Malley - October

Does this meet with everyone's approval about where the former President should be going and where he can do the most good? Sweet Jeebus, this site gets more bizarre by the minute...
