.... taking the wives of visiting world leaders ..... TO THE FARM! lol love it.

Turkey first lady Hayrunnisa Gul ( from L-R ) , U.S. first lady Michelle Obama, wife of United Nations Secretary-General Ban Soon-taek, and Republic of Kiribati first lady Meme Tong tour the grounds of the Stone Barns Center in Westchester, New York September 24, 2010.

... and in a recycled dress no less....

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama welcome visitors to the Blue Room of the White House, Jan. 21, 2009.

And, on a related note, the First Lady of the Cameroon has rather awesome hair:

8. I am so bad. I just read about her work and she's a good person. Lotsa hair but a good person!
Mrs Chantal Biya, the First Lady of Cameroon and President of the Foundation “African Synergies against AIDS and Suffering”, was designated as UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Education and Social Inclusion on 14
November 2008, thus becoming the first female African Goodwill Ambassador of the Organization.

The title was bestowed in recognition
of Mrs Biya’s commitment to fighting social exclusion, notably through HIV/AIDS education and prevention, and her promotion of the Organization’s ideals. UNESCO wishes to build on Madame Biya’s efforts to address the interrelated issues of gender inequality and the empowerment of women and girls, vulnerable people and minorities in the context of the struggle against poverty.

Cameroon’s First Lady is known for her active social engagement, as well as her ability to mobilize the support of many African countries to her cause, as well as eminent scientists.
Mrs Biya is also renowned for her activities in favour of women, children and other vulnerable groups, notably through her Foundation “African Synergies against AIDS and Suffering”
and the “Centre international de Référence Chantal Biya” (the Chantal Biya International Reference Centre).

The Centre is closely linked to UNESCO’s “Families First Africa” project, which supports activities that address HIV/AIDS in Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso.

15. That lady's hair is obviously a wig.
I love Michelle's dress. Sometimes her style is so sharp and attractive, but at other times she misses the mark by miles. Her sense of fashion, it seems to me, swings wildly from fabulous to "WTF?" That dress is definitely fabulous, though.

16. Way, way down on the list of things I wish our First Lady would change
(and goodness knows, I have a lot more I like about her than her husband these days) is those high waisted dresses. They make her look dowdy, and she isn't dowdy at all.

19. I LOVE that Michelle "rewears"
dresses. It adds to her humanity. And, it's hard to believe - she has met her match (or more?) in height in the 1st lady of Cameroon! Could largely be the hair, however...

24. I attended a dinner tonight where several of my fellow attendees asserted that Michelle
is living extravagantly on the tax payer dime. Now, mind you: these are intelligent, educated "liberals," but hate all things Obama. They went on and on about the lavish lifestyle, trips to Paris. They didn't even know why the First Lady was in Paris, but they bought the M$M meme hook, line and sinker. I had given up. I'm too tired to continue to defending Michelle. I understand the anger at Barack, but Michelle. She's really the one with the balls.

Really... they didn't know the real reason why Obama was in Paris. And they didn't know that she had paid with *her* own money.

What's more, these complaints were never leveled at Laura Bush or Hillary Clinton. Not even Nancy Reagan. Michelle Obama? Oh, no! The double standards never cease to amaze me...
