"Obama Approval Ratings Moving Up"
"Pollster John Zogby updates our weekly Obama Report Card with a grade on the president's performance. Zogby uses his polling, expert analysis and interaction with major players to come up with a grade and some comments that capture how he sees the president's week ending.

John Zogby on Week 88:

"For the Democrats, it's looking again like summer's end may bring a breath of fresh air. Poll numbers are moving up for Obama and the Democrats. Our latest Congressional generic found the Dems up by 1 percent, and other pollsters are also showing improvements for Obama's party. Our latest presidential job approval of 49 percent is Obama's highest since February. Taking the offensive against the Republicans is paying off, especially with the Democratic base. We'll see how the Democrats play their advantage on legislation that extends middle class tax cuts and ends the unpopular cuts on income over $250,000. The Senate vote on "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" failed to get the 60 votes needed to move forward, but Democrats may get credit from gay rights supporters for having tried. There are five weeks ahead before the midterm elections, and this past week was a good one for Obama and the Democrats."

I haven't heard about THIS in the "liberal" media.

1. why would they report this, or the rising Dem numbers in general?? it destroys their narrative
They had a tale to tell us about a glorious Teabaggin Revolution sweeping into power.
When it comes down to it, moderates will hesitate to vote for the evidently irrational.

2. Exactly...
instead, they've been showing the latest CNN poll which has Obama at "an all time low" of 42%: http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/09/24/obama.approval.poll/index.html :eyes:

7. I saw CNN's morning announcement of it, and it seemed so fake and contrived......
like they had just pulled that poll out of their ass.
I turned the television off when I heard newsreader's breathless BS,
and haven't turned it back on since.

8. They were pimping it every time I turned to them during commercials on MSNBC.
And it was on the bottom of their screen scrolling over and over, too.

9. Well, they are whores, after all!
They have to try so fucking hard, and that can't be easy.

I'm so fed up, I'm starting to wonder what we can do about
these evil ass bastards. It was them that gave us George Bush,
the War in Iraq and Clinton's impeachment. We need to get rid of 'em,
cause they have fucking ruined our country.....real good.

4. So we now trust Zogby again, after he was grotesquely wrong on everything in 2008?

12. It's not a matter of trusting Zogby
The point is the narrative. Only bad news about Pres Obama is getting reported. Don't you think if this poll had showed the Pres at an all time low it would have been reported? Of course it would.

11. Someone called into Thom Hartmann today and said what we all know -
that the majority of younger people are Democrats and younger people have CELL PHONES. So when pollsters call on landlines they are most likely reaching older voter - the majority of which are repugs.

Thom agreed, he said that there is no way to make call list from cell phone numbers at this time.

There ya go. We talked about this in 2008. The pollsters don't get it - they are not reaching my daughter and her friends.

18. That's funny because when I was in the gym yesterday, the only story on CNN was how Obama's
numbers have "hit a new low."

What LIBRUL MEDIA, indeed?
