OH-Gov: Biden stumps for Ohio Gov. Strickland again
AKRON, Ohio — Vice President Joe Biden on Monday campaigned for embattled Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland's re-election and predicted recession-weary working people will come to the rescue of Democrats.

Appearing at a University of Akron rally, Biden said working middle-class Americans harmed most by the recession know the economy couldn't be fully restored in the first two years of the Obama administration

"They were devastated by this recession," the vice president said. "Folks, they are angry, they are upset, they are frustrated and they are still scared."

Biden said voters elected President Barack Obama to reverse the bad economy, but "in their gut they know it was impossible to do that in the first two years." Those hurt most by the recession knew fundamental policy changes were required of the president, "and they know he's doing that," he said.

The result, Biden said, will be Democrats keeping control of the House and Senate.

"So folks, get out, vote early. Get out there and show them what you're going to do," he said. "If you do, we will restore this country, because America is coming back. Ted Strickland is going back and we are going to take, keep the House and the Senate."

As far as ohioans (or anyone else in the rust-belt) are concerned the rest of the country is just catching up.
