5. And it shouldn't matter one whit. But hey, all the pressure to prove he's a christian
and again he caves. Fox news makes a big deal about how he hasn't signed up to a new church since leaving Rev Wright, and so now he's just got to lower himself to giving them what they want.

Religion, or the lack thereof, isn't supposed to matter here particularly when it comes to government. Very sad.

He can't just go to church now - it's all related to that crap. I almost wish h didn't go, but i know he's confident enough to do what he feels and not what the stupid wants.

he's caving. Caving into what? The man can go to church with his family any damned time he chooses. To suggest otherwise is presumptuous in the extreme. How odd that you would do so.

6. Wow - I'm surprised they went to an Episcopal church,
and they all went up and took communion.

http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2010/09/for_fifth_time_obama_attends.html

That surprises me. I was raised in the Episcopal church and had to attend catechism classes before I was allowed to take communion. I haven't been to church in years, but I'm surprised that anyone can take communion. Has that changed?

8. What an idiot, Bob Miller
He comment this website

By Bob Miller on January 18, 2010 1:11 PM
With all due respect to MLK, this was another photo op by the White House.
Four times in a year to visit any church, And this was the weekend that was reserved to show respect for MLK.
Yes, he showed his respect BUT not to GOD.
Sort of reminds one of the Good Church Goers, they go at Easter and Christmas.
I wonder if he has a prayer rug any place in the White House??

He is fucking teabagger idiot.. I wonder Bob Miller is Joe miller's brother?????

and both my brother and I attended confirmation classes before being able to receive communion. However, most dioceses allow for any baptized person to receive communion in an Episcopal church...

42. Thank you for the info! That's pretty cool.
Although I'm fairly anti-organized religion these days, I have noticed that The Episcopal church is pretty liberal. Allowing women into the priesthood, as well as openly gay priests.

19. I was raised Presbyterian and baptised as a tot. When I went to an
Episcopal Easter service a couple of years ago, I specifically asked if I was allowed go up to take communion or not and they said absolutely yes. Anybody can. Just like when the Presbyterians pass the little cups and wafers down the pews.

Catholics are hung up on legalisms like you are talking about. Episcopals not so much, lol.

28. How is that your business? Truly. If it's OK with the minister of
that church, why is it not OK with you? In most Episcopal churches, there is no bar to a Christian taking communion, whether that Christian is a member of that church or not.

I didn't say it wasn't OK with me.

I asked if the policy (that I was raised with) had changed.

And thanks to the nice folks replying to me (above your reply) I now know that it has changed.

13. Remember that Reagan NEVER went to church!
Reagan NEVER went to church. Not once on a Sunday when he was in the White House, but that was OK with our Whore Press.

Bill Clinton went to church every Sunday and the Whore Press tore him apart for being "immoral" every chance they could.

W went to church when he felt like it (Near election time), and once again the Whore Press slobbered all over him.

And the same Press Whores still play up the "Obama is a Muslim" bullshit.

She's almost as tall as the President and she's only 11. He's over 6 feet tall.

I've seen too many girls that are not comfortable being taller than most men. Hopefully she will be fine with it.

50. I think she'll be fine. Being taller than normal doesn't seem to affect her mother
I hope she doesn't grow much taller though. Her parents already tower over most people.

my nephew grew to 6 feet tall when he was 12 and people thought he was five years older than he was. It created some very uncomfortable times for him, especially with older teen girls who were attracted to him. He was very good looking and he looked like he was 17. A 12 year old boy in what looked like a 17 year old body is simply not prepared for the older teen girl who is attracted to him.

and she isn't even a teen yet.

but she isn't the only one. i have seen many girls who i assumed were in their teens because they were tall but they weren't. one of my cousins is the same. it could just be that i am not that tall so i assume anyone who is my height or taller would at least be in their teens.
