Chris Matthews is delusional! Hillary voters are voting for women even women like O'Donnell. Watch-
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2010/09/14/msnbc_odonnell_win_product_of_angry_hillary_voters.html

"There are an awful a lot of women that felt frustrated by Hillary Clinton's failure two years ago and I'm telling you it's popping up, I'm hearing it anecdotally, I admit, but look at this picture here -- these are women and they may be conservative women, but they are women nonetheless," MSNBC's Chris Matthews said.

:puke:

Thankfully Rachel was there to set him straight but unfortunately it went in one ear and out the other.

1. Of course it went in one ear and out the other, there was no thought in the way to stop it.

2. He's spouting nonsense, and all but ignoring the really interesting political aspects
The Republican establishment does not have control of their own party. They failed to prevent a full slate of nutty extremists from being nominated. It's backfiring, and there's nothing they can do about it. This won't end well for the Republican Party.

that's why I find Matthews comments so insane.

35. The meme is that all women who voted for Hillary voted for her because she was a woman.
It's extremely sexist view. Now there may have been some women who did vote for her because she was a woman, but there may have been black people who voted for Obama because he was black, but this does not justify painting such a broad bush about certain groups. It is both racist and sexist to do that.

5. What does this say of Matthews true opinion of women?
Would he reverse this and speak the same of men? Would he have voted for someone at the opposite end of the political spectrum had that candidate been male and his opponent a woman? It kind of says that women have no political philosophies or leanings. Very strange. (Also, how does he explain that Palin polled better among (presumably some drooling)males than femaes?)

Now, the lefty bloggers can continue to make fun of them and pile on Sarah Palin but that only going to make the former Democrats in the Tea Party even madder and more committed to getting rid of Democrats. They are tired of being mocked and treated like suckers.

There's still plenty of them here, if you haven't noticed. Some of the most virulent anti-progressives on DU date back to '03.

22. Sure I'll buy some being RW plants (reminiscent of Operation Chaos).
And yes some still frequent these boards; hard to miss! My point was that at least two of the websites I posted are run by former long-time DU'ers that lost their blob over the 2008 Democratic primary.

Hey, it was midnight...he had a valid excuse!

ETA : Did you notice that at about the 20 or 25 minute mark after the (midnight) hour, they went back to a rebroadcast of the earlier (7:00 EDT) show? He was probably laying in his own puke at that point.

would make me realize what an inadequately prepared candidate
O'Donnel is.

Chris, how about this. The Media has read the public wrong
all along. These people are winning on emotion and mob psychology.

How many votes did ODonnell get more than Castle???

or more likely from her GOP handlers trying figure out how to mainstream her.

...Emily's List has just started its second "Sarah Doesn't Speak For Me" campaign today.

Tweety is such an idiot, almost worse than the wingnuts for assuming that ALL women think and behave alike. Yeah, just like ALL blacks think and behave alike. It's so disgusting, demeaning and highly offensive!!!

21. Tweety is a geriatric loudmouth whose time (if ever there was one)
has come and gone. He continues to be an embarrassment to MSNBC. Hopefully in the not-too-far distant future the powers that be at MSNBC will put him out to pasture and bring in some fresh blood (Cenk?). In the meantime he just drools on himself and proves that he is incapable of listening to anything that isn't the sound of his own voice.

23. Matthews is a very bitter man
He desperately wants to be thought of as part of the "A" team at NBC news - Tom Brokaw, Brian Williams, the Russert kid, Andrea Mitchell, etc.

Instead they keep tossing him in with the Dirty Fucking Hippies - Olberman, Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz.

He says dumb crap like that in the hopes it will impress the powers that be at the network.

And it might - god knows it ain't very hard to fool them.

it was relatively off-putting that he honestly believes that someone who would not have voted for Castle would possible vote for O'Donnell strictly because of the gender factor.

I do remember Matthews going on about how the Palin choice would get McCain tons of disaffected Hillary voters. The man is fairly clueless on this front.
