Iraqi soldier kills 2 U.S. soldiers

By the CNN Wire Staff
September 7, 2010 4:08 p.m. EDT

Baghdad, Iraq (CNN) -- An Iraqi soldier opened fire Tuesday on a group of U.S. soldiers in northern Iraq, killing two and wounding nine others, the Iraqi military said.

They are the first American deaths in Iraq since the U.S. combat mission officially ended last week.

The attack occurred inside an Iraqi army commando compound when the soldier, clad in an Iraqi army uniform, fired on the U.S. soldiers near the Salaheddin province city of Tuz, the U.S. military said. The attacker was shot and killed.

Maj. Gen. Mohammed al-Askari, a Defense Ministry spokesman, identified the shooter as Soran Rahman, from the Iraqi army's 4th Division.

3. We could have pulled all the troops out last year
from Iraq and from Afghanistan, but no one listens to the Left, and then they are left wondering what the frak happened.

6. W is to blame, and the Democrats who, by the way, promised the voters,

that IF THE VOTERS WOULD ELECT THEM a majority IN NOVEMBER 2006, that THEY WOULD end THE WAR.

But no, INSTEAD OF ending THE war, like they PROMISED (it's on record), THEY NEVER STOPPED FUNDING IT!?!

And we're supposed to ignore it, never blame them too?

:wtf:

5. We are the ones that invaded a country that had nothing to do with 9-11
or that posed any threat to us. How would we react had we been the ones being invaded, as in the film "Red Dawn?"

12. Not too many would do a suicide mission for our cause, I think.
I'm not arguing the hows & whys of any of this, other than to point out the futility of trying to win against the tactic of suicide missions.

13. CNN reports another attack in Tikrit. Civilians were killed according to Iraq.
In a second attack in Salaheddin province, a U.S. soldier and a number of Iraqis were wounded when a convoy in central Tikrit was hit by grenades early Tuesday afternoon, a U.S. military spokesman said. Soldiers who were in the vehicle that was attacked killed the grenade thrower, he said.

An Iraqi Interior Ministry official and police in Tikrit offered a different account. They said that a man threw two grenades at the convoy, damaging a vehicle, and that U.S. forces then opened fire "randomly," killing a civilian and wounding four others.

8. It isn't worth one drop of American blood. Neither Iraq nor Afghanistan!
A lot of corporations profited and are profiting from these wars, while we are the ones that have to mourn the dead.

11. There will be no more troops in combat.
These two troops were murdered by a man in an ally's uniform.

Apparently you're trying to exploit their deaths for some dishonest political purpose.

16. There will be troops in combat
It will be Iraqi led combat. You've been told this inumerable times by Obama himself but you don't seem to grasp it. They removed some troops with combat designations. But we will continue to support Iraqi led combat operations, as well as continue counter terrorism activities. No one should be surprised that more will be dying. Obama himself told us that our soldiers would continue to die for some time.
