I wonder if Scott McAdams has a shot of upsetting whoever the GOP nominates for Senator in Alaska?

Right now Murkowski is trailing her GOP opponent. The Dems nominated Sitka Mayor Scott McAdams--he says he would be "one less vote for BP." Alaska is a pretty out there state and it's hard to know who people will end up supporting--though they usually do vote republican, but they have strong libertarian tendencies too.

1. I think his chances improve if it's an open seat

The Republican won't have the edge of incumbency and doesn't have the record of pork, which is important in Alaska. It doesn't take a lot of money to run there either, so that's a plus for McAdams too.

... or if Joe Miller has skeletons in the closet, he can win.
