cn|2 Poll shows Rand Paul has slight lead over Jack Conway
Republican U.S. Senate candidate Rand Paul narrowly leads Democrat Jack Conway, 41% to 38%, although a whopping 19% say they aren’t sure yet, according to the cn|2 Poll conducted this week.

That number of undecided voters and fluidity of moderates’ support suggest the race is in play, political observers say.

Conway led among those who considered themselves to be moderates, 52% to 18%. Nearly 27% of moderates said they haven’t made up their mind.

“When you step back and look at it at arm’s length, the race is up for grabs because the middle is up for grabs,” said Al Cross, director of the Institute for Rural Journalism at the University of Kentucky and former political writer for the Louisville Courier-Journal.

3. Very strange, the Pauls hate the Bushes
Neither Ron nor Rand voted for Bush in 2004 or McCain in 2008. Jeb is up to something.

4. They only hate them when it doesn't benefit them. Why can't people see that Ron and Rand Paul
are charlatans? If they were truly sincere, they would leave the Republican Party and run on the Libertarian ticket. They are opportunists. Charlatans! Racists, for sure!!

8. It still doesn't look right
Sure, who can blame Rand for taking any support he can get in a close race. However, how could Jeb support people who hate his brother and father? Many Paulites think Poppy is part of a massive conspiracy, from JFK's death all the way to 9/11 and the NWO. How Jeb can support Rand is baffling.

As for why they don't leave the Republican Party, two reasons. One, they can't win on the Libertarian line. 2, they wan to bring the Republican Party back to its roots, a non-interventionist, non police-state Party.

9. Yep. Exactly right. My questions were rhetorical in nature. It is indeed baffling that Jeb
would support them, but not altogether unexpected. The Republican Party has no principles. Their loyalty is to party. Party first. Country last. Principles? What principles?

Jeb is supporting them because they are Republicans. Period. So disgusting!! :puke:
