Spill Is Plugged, UE Benefits Extended, Sherrod Got Apology, and Finance Reform Passed Into Law
Edited on Fri Jul-23-10 09:50 AM by Yavin4
Do you see the pattern here? Problems arise, and then they are handled. In the past 18 months, we've gone from the brink of total and complete economic collapse to slowly re-gaining growth. Last year, everyone was screaming that we should nationalize the banks and the auto industry, and now, both industries are back on their feet.

This is what competency looks like. In my field, IT, the best developers write programming code that's simple, elegant, and easy to use. Their code never requires 24/7 maintenance and patching. It's quiet. The best at what they do always make it look effortless.

That's not to say that things don't awry. Life happens. True competence handles and takes care of things when they do go awry.

2. And it all happened just like magic?! Bullshit. All that "achievement" was and is at untold ongoing
human, animal, and environmental cost and is very unlikely to end there.

Please. You seem to know what's best. Why don't you run and do this?!

17. I have to ask, then, if it is "not fixable" why do your posts consistently...
criticize the President and his Administration for everything they do, everything they haven't yet done, well, for everything?

If you have no solution to offer, why do you criticize those who continue to believe solutions can be found and are working to find them, I don't get it.

19. Wow, in one statement, you say it is NOT fixable....
and then go on a rant because Obama hasn't fixed it yet. You can't have it both ways.

It is clear from your posts, you never had any intention to give Obama a chance, your posts being severely critical from the when he was first inaugurated.

If you don't think it's fixable, fine, then stand aside while others find solutions you seem to be unable to even offer.

20. It's not over by any stretch of the imagination. But...
It's being added to the big list of Obama's accomplishments as we speak.

I haven't seen that list in a while, I guess it's time someone dragged it out again.

21. Well, let's look at these one by one.....
Spill Is Plugged - Time will tell. I certainly hope so. Shouldn't have taken them three fucking months to get to that point

UE Benefits Extended - No argument on that one.

Sherrod Got Apology - Half assed and she didn't get her job back. She definitely should, and VilSuck needs to be fired, because this is more about his MonSatan whoring than it was about BratFart and a poorly edited video tape.

Finance Reform Passed Into Law - Debatable. It was deliberately neutered from what it should have been. Not by Repukes but by alleged "Democrats" like the retiring Chris Dodd, who is obviously setting up his own future employment. If Elizabeth Warren heads up this new psuedo-agency, that would appear to be a positive thing, but if any solutions she comes up with can be vetoed by the "Federal" Reserve, then what is the point?

I suppose the bright side is that it's not as useless as the false "health care" bill was.

Yes, Obama did screw up, but eventually did the right thing, and hopefully, Breitbart and his ilk will continue to be exposed as the subhuman sociopaths that they are...

25. Also many were screaming to nuke the oil gusher... Obama did not over-react...
and the "worst" enviromental disaster in US history now appears to be under control.

I am sure President McWar would have nuked it and the entire Gulf would be readioactive for the next 10,000 years.

27. But there's no fireworks! No screaming! No drama!
I'm in IT, as well (programming, sysad, dba, lan/man/wan, security, blah blah blah), and I measure my success level by other people not "needing" me. Stuff just works, and when it doesn't (or is slow, or hard), my job is to remove that problem.
