A really good take on the Sherrod affair with a little bit of time for
proper perspective.

Durstin is, to many here in the Cleveland, the king of the free press. He has worked at all of the major alternative outlets since the early 90's.

He is a good, solid writer and his take on all of this is a bit different.

1. LOL, it is a hit piece on Obama, not to mention Rachel Maddow and...
Eugene Washington as well.

This little gem tells me where this writer is coming from:

"The way I see it, that’s two strikes on Obama in the game of racial politics. Of course, Rachel Maddow and Eugene Washington spent a couple of nights tsk-tsking Fox News, citing chapter and verse as to its numerous sins and smirking about the irony and transparency of how the race card was being played by Hannity and company. “It’s all so absurd, don’t you agree, Gene, and truly scary, too."”

This is the antithesis of "a really good take", imo. It isn't even a really good hit piece, too obvious.

President Obama did not handled it well.

5. Seeing as he did not make the decision to fire her his whole premise...
for the hit piece was false. Even then, he could not resist an addition to derogatorily make reference to Rachel Maddow and Eugene Washington.

I understand why you think this is a "good take", I do not for the reasons I have iterated.

6. And he sees that Rachel shouldn't have tsk-tsked about Fox and Breitbart.
It's total bullshit. The fact that YOU like it makes me really wonder. YOU don't think Rachel should have exposed what Fox and BReitbart and Hannity did, step by step? You think they should get a free pass?

Really? Well, shit.

9. Did you notice this gem in the article as well, it's a goody...
"Maybe it will turn out that the goofy conservative “activist” Andrew Breitbart..."

"Goofy" Andrew Breitbart.

Pathetic attempt to portray the scumbag in a harmless, cutsy way. No bias in this writer, nosiree!

10. I didn't totally agree with him....
I just wanted to offer a different perspective.

I personally really respect Maddow's take on nearly everything but I do think she went for the easy fastball over the plate with this one.

And DevonRex, wonder away. I'll proudly stake my progressive cred against anyone anytime...

2. I like Durstin's remarks.
I wonder if Obama can do what he suggests. I just wonder...

Where has that vibrant, intelligent man we saw campaigning gone?

Recommended.
