Most Still Blame Bush
Just when I think people aren't paying attention, I read this...

Most Still Blame Bush

Democrats -- facing an angry electorate about the economy and other issues -- still have one political asset: George W. Bush.

A new Bloomberg National Poll finds the former president is blamed more than President Obama for the budget deficit, unemployment and illegal immigration.

Even more surprising is that 60% say Bush is primarily responsible for the current situation in Afghanistan. Just 10% point to Obama, who has doubled the number of troops deployed into the country since Bush left office.

3. Count me among them. Instead of grabbing a mop, the former president's party,
who thought things were going along just swimmingly, haven't lifted a finger to help clean up this mess. They don't give a damn about the American people, just flinging poo at the walls, and screaming socialist.

6. Then Why....?
...are the American people all turning against Obama and the Democrats??? In Sept. 2008, every economist in the world said this will be a deep recession with a very slooooowwwww........recovery (possibly taking 5-7 years to get back to where we were in early 2007).

Obama became president in January 2009 (only four months later) when the economy was still in free-fall (meaning the actual recession was in progress). The economy more or less bottomed out in the Summer of 2009. Now, the economy is growing, but at a snail's pace (just as economists predicted) because instead of spending, most people are trying to rebuild their retirement savings and/or nest eggs. The economy only bottomed out a year ago and everybody knew that the recovery would move at glacial speed. So HOW IS THIS OBAMA'S FAULT? Yes, the stimulus package did add to our national debt, but that should not be hamstringing the economy now. The potential pain of that debt won't be felt for a long time. Are people actually believing that the economy would be growing faster right now if Obama and the Congress had NOT passed the stimulus package? :wtf:

It just doesn't make sense. I feel like this is '93-'94 all over again. We had a huge election victory where the American people enthusiastically embraced the Democrats and wanted nothing to do with the Republicans. Now, just like in '93-'94, the Democratic Congress as well as the president are taking so much heat for problems they did NOT create, even though they're working their asses off trying to make things better and they want to give the keys back to the Republicans. Even Massachusetts turned against the Democrats by electing a Republican to replace Ted Kennedy. :puke:

I don't understand the American people. I just don't.
