God forbid a huge scandal, illness, or whatever unforeseen. She might end up winning.

No thanks.

Think about it. The only way to shut her and her followers up is for her to lose in a nationwide landslide. Obama may even win Utah.

I thought we'd be up by at least 10 on her. No where in my wildest dream did I imagine a epic 21 point mid 50's lead. This is aewsome news. He's crushing her! Crushing her! And what's more, she is the presumptive nominee too and she's 21 points back!

works it up so much that if she DOESN'T run, the teabaggers' base will be so upset and demoralized that they won't vote for whomever their nominee will be!

15. If you look at past elections...
even during landslides, the opponent usually got 35-40%. So 35-40% of voters will vote for whoever the Republican Party nominates in 2012.

11. I can't imagine her actually having the discipline to run
She's so selfish and flighty, I just don't think she'll be able to hack it. I may be wrong and her narcissism seems to know no bounds, but she's quit everything she's ever done.

Or maybe it's just wishful thinking. I know her candidacy would be a train wreck, but I just can't bear the thought of listening to her nails-on-blackboard voice for the entire campaign season. :scared:

13. A totally bogus poll by PPP has Obama and Palin neck and neck out today, but...
when looking at democgraphics its clear it's geered to the right. The poll asks who they voted for in 2008 and it's Obama by 1-point, when he actually won by about 8-points. Political ideology has conservatives with 44%, I think it's overskewed towards the right.

PPP: Obama, Palin tied 46/46 in 2012 polling

No, this is not coming from Rasmussen or an internal GOP poll, but from the normally Democrat-sympathetic Public Policy Polling. PPP pitted Barack Obama against five potential Republican challengers for the 2012 presidential campaign, and the only one Obama beat was … Jan Brewer. Even that, PPP admitted, resulted from Brewer’s lack of name recognition. The headline, though, is Sarah Palin’s dead heat with the President:

With his approval numbers hitting new lows it’s no surprise that Barack Obama’s numbers in our monthly look ahead to the 2012 Presidential race are their worst ever this month. He trails Mitt Romney 46-43, Mike Huckabee 47-45, Newt Gingrich 46-45, and is even tied with Sarah Palin at 46. The only person tested he leads is Jan Brewer, who doesn’t have particularly high name recognition on the national level at this point.

It’s not that any of the Republican candidates are particularly well liked. Only Huckabee has positive favorability numbers at 37/28. Romney’s at 32/33, Gingrich at 32/42, Palin at 37/52, and Brewer at 17/20. But with a majority of Americans now disapproving of Obama it’s no surprise that a large chunk of them would replace him as President if they had that choice today.

There are two things driving these strong poll numbers for the Republican candidates. The first is a lead with independents in every match up. Romney leads 48-35 with them, Gingrich is up 50-39, Huckabee has a 46-40 advantage, Palin’s up 47-42, and even Brewer has a 38-37 edge.

37. That PPP poll is definitely a bit wacky. The voter screening model on it
definitely seems to favor Rethugs. How can two polls regarding match ups with Palin and Obama be so different?

I'd guess they'll put forward a Romney.

18. You're never gonna get less than 34% voting for the other guy
In a two way presidential race, getting under 34% is unheard of. Even under 40% is mega-rare and may never happen again. The country is too divided.

23. PPP must explain why it has Palin tied with Obama. Time proves that PPP poll is fishy
PPP wants us to believe that Palin and Obama are tied. Their sample is registered voters, and Time is also registered voters, so PPP has no excuse here. Most ridiculous the assertion that Gingrich is ahead of Obama. Give me a break.

26. Such a dilemma.
I know that a Palin nomination for President would virtually guarantee a democratic victory, but being a female, I really don't want the first woman presidential nominee of a major political party in our nation's history to be THAT. It's just too depressing a thought. That woman doesn't deserve to go down in history for anything, except maybe for having the lowest IQ of any Vice Presidential nominee.

29. I don't think you have to worry. I think she's pretty happy with the sweet setup she has going.
I mean there is no accountability and a crap-ton of money to be made. She can just sit back, wield enough power within the Teabag party to be relevant and rake it in.
