his heart going, and he no longer has a pulse. Darth Cheney indeed!!

My husband had to be plugged into a dialysis machine at night. Often the very loud alarm would go off in the middle of the night when he accidently cut off the tubes by crimping them in his sleep. I don't know if this will happen to Cheney, but if it does, he won't be getting a whole lot of sleep. I didn't get much either back then. I don't think Lynne will have to worry though as he probably has nurses around the clock.

Don't you have to have a heart to have a pulse? If I was a better person, I could conjure up some empathy for him. All of my compassion goes to our soldiers who were wounded as a result of his war mongering and are still suffering because of his lies, and the families of the dead. And the evil creep is getting the best medical care money can buy. Damn him.

Strangely enough, The Other Party seemed to be left with retreads like Huckabee, "Mass-care" Romney, and Sarah "Bristol's-marrying-Levi-and-telling-the-media-about-it-first-rather-than-her-own-MOTHER" Palin,

29. The machine takes over the pumping function or at least overrides it.

Since this is one of the newer models containing a high speed impeller, he really won't have a pulse.

On a side note, I think it was Sixty Minutes that did a story about how these machines allow the heart to "rest" and heal itself. Also, an unintended good side effect is other systems like kidneys and lungs etc. show increased function and overall health improvements. So much that there are studies to use the machines on people who don't necessarily need them for heart failure.
