It's the Bush Tax Cuts Stupid.
Edited on Sun Jul-11-10 07:46 PM by FrenchieCat
That's why the media started laying the path out long ago in where Republicans would take back power,
as far back as many months ago.

That's why the Teabaggers were magnified, day in, day out and made to grow.....and still are.

That's why Folks who should be newspeople act like they themselves are Republicans (remember Charlie on ABC dogging Obama about capital gains tax rates back during the primaries?)...because they make more than $250,000 per year, and their bosses just that much more.

That's why the media has worked so hard in positively promoting certain folks who have yet to have done anything really positive for Americans (see Palin), and calling out people who have (any Democrat, especially if one is in any sort of agreement with this administration).

It's not about what the President has accomplished, or not accomplished. Who the government has rescued or not rescued. It's not even about health care, or wall street bail outs, or whether Obama is a socialist or a corporatist (or just a regular Center to Left Dem who believes in some socialism and some capitalism), or about deficit reduction vs. stimulus spending.

The reason that this 2010 election will be hard fought is because of those Bush Tax cuts that will expire on December 31, 2010. That is the reason that you will see a biased media, and Dems will be getting hit over the head as often as possible with everything and anything.

It's about perserving those Bush Tax Cut, which amounts to millions that certain folks don't have to pay, and also monies that if not paid cannot help reduce deficits (which would make Obama look good), and that can only happen if Dems lose their shirts in November.

1. Yep. It doesn't matter that Obama cut taxes for those making less
than $250,000 (like me), it's the 5 percenters.

2. That's why those additional tax cuts by the Obama admin were ignored by the Media, and not touted.
They don't want us to remember what happened on that.

4. Please find me that link.
He's been saying that he would let them expire for at least 3 years now.

5. and they will sunset on their own in January 2011
Obama doesn't have to do squat to make that happen. Even if the impossible happens and the GOP takes both houses back (they won't), Obama still has veto power.

6. I presume that if Obama vetos it, than we all get a tax increase,
because the Republicans won't allow the middle class to keep their tax cuts, and that was the original plan. That way they can say he broke his promise for the 2012 election. That's the GOP plan.

7. Yes, but ALL of the tax cuts sunset in 2011.
So they will have to change the current path if they want to keep the middle class tax cuts.

8. I would ask for a link.
but it seems the haters don't like to back up their claims.

Another hit and run.

I understand that opinions are allowed, but I see outright lies posted all the time. What gives ?
