Pass the antivert, and advil.. then explain this to me
I have just listened to some of the most convoluted reasoning on economics on CNBC and Fox that I think I have ever heard (I was channel flipping)

That little gasbag that started the TeaPartys.. well he was part of it..

Now we all have been hearing this for years upon years.. how the European economies with their extended vacations, better benefits, health care, retirements etc were awful..

Terrible, worst thing in the world..

Well lets be honest here, they have been pulling down the rest of the recoveries because they refuse to stimulate..

We did a stimulus package, and we are digging out in positive territory.. Europe is still the center of the vortex of a another possible depression..

And what do we hear from the talking heads of of economics on the right.

That the President is out of touch with reality.. That (now this is where you need the antivert folks)
Europe knows what it is doing by just doing cuts, and foregoing stimulus is the way..

The G-8 repudiated the President.

Well geniuses of the right... who exactly is coming out of the economic depression and who is still tumbling.

I told you.. batty , just batty

1. And yet some many European countries are "socialist"
Then one would think they would stimulate.

5. Cutting severly in the middle of a really bad recession is a stupid thing to do.
Europe will collapse because they are doing this to themselves. Australia was one of the first to stimulate and their economy improved quickly(of course that did not save Rudd, but he had other issues).
Yes, we have deficits but it would be worse if we did not have a stimulus. The time to deal with deficits is when we are no longer in the middle of this. And we are recovering, but so incredibly slow. And Rethugs are afraid of adding to the deficit but the money for unemployment is such a small % it hardly makes a difference. Their thinking is so twisted. I am waiting for the Bush tax cuts to still benefit me and my family, after all these years. Since it led partly to the deficit exploding, we should have gotten something out of it. Of course, we get a recession. Nice.

6. I know Jenn.. and their massive taxcuts to the top 1%
and refusing to fund programs is why we are in the mess we are in. The states are in GOD awful shape because of unfunded mandates by the Bushies.

Unemployment insurance is the greatest stimulus for the small buisness person we have.. But noooooo.. gasbags united just hate everything that the US does for its general populace.

8. That has been the sticker.. the abuse of the filibuster..
That Mr Smith Goes To Washington.. idea is a good one..but like everything else.. the right beats it to death till it loses its real purpose.

Boy that would be a good general question to put out there!
