I see, better yet hear, you guys whining today, but it seems like Obama is doing something Bush could have done but didn't, actually prosecute the guys who were involved in 9/11.

2. Exactly...they enjoyed torturing and being bullies more than they
wanted to prosecute them.

3. Right - they were all about taking the law into their own hands...
...doing anything they wanted to do anywhere in the world. SOCIOPATHS.

4. Spotlight on KSM takes it away from OBL.
If it turned out that KSM was the mastermind of 9/11, and OBL was more of a media figurehead, then, well, how does one justify staying in Afghanistan, even after we've arrested and tried those responsible?

5. Because KSM was not the "Mastermind of 9/11" and they know it. He "admitted" to that after being
tortured. He "admitted" to everything in the book, including things we KNOW he didn't do, like behead Daniel Pearl. Bush knows even though KSM might be found guilty of SOMETHING, it sure won't be of "masterminding" 9/11.

10. Prosecuting KSM during Bush's administration could have destroyed said administration
If 9/11 was really a LIHOP or MIHOP plot, KSM would have known about it. Better just to waterboard him over and over...

"Who ordered 9/11?"
'George W. Bush." (dump)

"Who ordered 9/11?"
"George W. Bush?" (dump)

(keep on dumping water on KSM until...)

"Who ordered 9/11?"
"Osama Bin Laden."
"It wasn't George W. Bush?"
"Oh no. It was Osama Bin Laden. No one else. George W. Bush was too much of an idiot to..." (dump)

(and more waterboarding until...)

"Is George W. Bush an idiot?"
"No, no. He is the smartest man in the world. All praise to him."

11. I'm not a righty but you are incorrect
These cases have been tied up in the courts since the first detainees were captured. It has gone up to the Supreme Court and back down and then back up again. All of these appeals have taken years. Until it was settled neither Justice nor the military could do anything. The issue was finally settled last year see the last link. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/20... . http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25117953 / http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/20... http://abcnews.go.com/TheLaw/SCOTUS/story?id=5048935&pa... http://www.law.cornell.edu/supct/html/06-1195.ZS.html
