It never stops amazing me. People even on our own side slamming the President when the alternative was crotchety old McSAME and the cement-headed ZOM-NUT Sarah-the-professional-quitter-whackjob-drill-baby-driller-Failin-Pailin. Just imagine if those shitheads had won the election. No stimulus. No Lilly Leadbetter law. No financial reform. No green energy initiatives at all. Teaching creationism in the public schools. A total NATIONAL right wing disaster on immigration. Completely endless war where we are now, and probably another in Iran. Our VP would be the laughing stock of the world. And the oil leak? How about "the drill baby drill" crowd in complete charge of that one? We need to count our damn blessings. This President, in responding to a completely unprecedented situation, had his team assembled on day one and has mobilized thousands of troops and billions in other resources to the Gulf. He just got $20 billion from BP, and Obama and his team are working night and day to see this is solved. BP has the technology and expertise to solve it. The government's job is to get all other resources in place, work with the affected states, and oversee BP. They are doing all that. Obama said it right. He can't suck it up himself with a straw. So enough of this nonsense. Bush-1 NEVER visited the Exxon Valdeze spill. NEVER. Obama has been to the Gulf something like 4 or 5 times. I for one am damn glad to FINALLY have an "academic" in the White House who is thoughtful and cool headed. We had enough of the other cement-headed brand for eight horrid years. So let's look on the bright side as the other side morphs into the TeaHater Party. Dems should be united and energized bigtime given our side's accomplishments and their side's transformation into block-skulled TeaIdiot neanderthals.
