Done deal... Watch for a bump for handling BP.so well
DEAL REACHED: The AP reports that BP has agreed to set up a $20 billion fund to pay damages claims from people affected by the oil leak in the Gulf Coast. The fund will be led by Kenneth Feinberg, the Obama administration's pay czar who oversaw payments to families affected by the Sept. 11 attacks, the AP says.

2. I predicted that Ken Feinberg would by the paymaster
No complaints, just an observation.

3. But Keith Olbermann, Howard Fineman, Chris MAttews and the glorious Rachel Maddow all said
the speech was bad, really bad.

How could he be making good on a promise that these beacons of liberal punditry said fell flat?

5. Maddow is definitely starting to go Establishment
She's not there yet, but her line of thinking shows tendencies in that direction.

4. But is that gonna cover it?
$20B is a lot of money, even in Washington DC, but is it going to cover this mess? Is there any contingency set up if it doesn't?

6. This is just for the claims
This is not for the cleanup.

$20 billion will probably cover most of the claims for lost jobs and revenue due to the spill.

IT won't even dent the cleanup bill.
