"The only thing we can do as a party to trump Republicans taking Ted Kennedy's seat is for us to
take out John McCain."

Go Rodney!!!

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/06/11/rodney-glassman-arizona-s_n_608970.html

The broader political world has relatively little clue right now about who Rodney Glassman is. But as the Arizona Democratic Senate candidate made the rounds in D.C. this past week -- discussing his candidacy with members of Congress, wooing labor unions for their endorsements, and sitting down with officials at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee -- he offered a compelling if not succinct explanation.

3. You wanna know the truth?
Rodney needs to get off his butt and get out there. I doubt people even know who he is yet.

He just barely got his offices opened up in Tucson and Phoenix! He was just in DC meeting everyone, and he has a big bus...but he has his work cut out for him.

The only thing is - is the rethugs are going to be divided by McCain and Teabagger favorite, Hayworth....so....maybe.

When Jon Kyl was up for re-election, the guy that was running against him was a great Dem, but wasn't aggressive enough. Plus the DNC just ignores us.

seat...but there is no way I would put McCain in the same class as Ted Kennedy. The former is a self-serving politician, while the latter was a statesman.

5. Somehow I don't think
today's Republicans would be all that upset at John McCain losing his primary. He lost the presidency to that upstart junior Senator and saddled them with Sarah Palin. Mainstream Republicans (and they do still exist) can't be happy about that.

6. Really, it's not the ONLY thing
I can think of at least 5, right off the top of my head:

1. Replace Scott Brown with anyone in the Democratic party
2. Increase, or hold our margin in the Senate
3. Increase, or hold our margin in the House
4. Re-elect Obama by a landslide
5. Retire Glenn Beck
6. Re-elect Reid
7. After re-electing Reid, replace him with Russ Feingold as Senate Majority leader
8. Ensure Whitman and Fiorina go down in flames
9. When Ginsburg retires, nominate and confirm Robert Kennedy, JR to the SCOTUS
10. Re-elect Alan Grayson

Any one of these would be sweet, and would significantly shut down the Republi-gloat

7. I think what he was saying that it would be a shock to replace McCain's seat with a Dem like it was
to replace Kennedy's seat with a rethug.

8. No harm meant. I'm just playing out all the ways I would love to laugh at the GOP

these were just a few. I don't mean any ill. I would LOVE to see McCain fall. I would love to see Sarah Palin have a Dead Zone moment, where she uses a child as a human shield or something. Actually, I wouldn't want to see anyone do THAT, but I just can't imagine her doing anything that would have her flock turn on her, viciously.

9. I know you didn't....actually when I saw that Glassman wants to be like Brown - my first thought was
:wtf: then I figured out what he was saying.

I liked your list - btw...just wanted to make sure you understood what he was saying since it took me a couple minutes to figure it out :)

12. Constantly calling it "Ted Kennedy's seat" gave him that fancy line:
"No, it's the people's seat." His numbers went up right after that, a shame.

13. If this was any other state we were talking about
I'd be hoping for that fucking buffoon JD Hayworthless to beat Gramps in the primary, and be an even easier target for Glassman to take down in November.

But with the current fucked up trend in Arizona politics, they would probably get stuck with the failed Limbaugh clone Hayworthless. :evilfrown:

15. Take out DeMint with Alvin Greene!
Forget the conspiracy theories--throw everything including the kitchen sink into Greene's campaign and then give him all the support he needs when he is elected.
