Bill Halter Revealed He Is A Fraud
Dems we will regret this

He said on Ed that he isn't gonna take a position on card check because it is no longer a viable bill in the senate, and says it makes no sense to comment on a dead bill

35. Apparently Lincoln is also delusional. Did you catch her victory speech last night?
I saw it on the evening news and there is a video here:

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0610/38299.html

In it she says:

...sent a message out that's loud and clear and that message was that the vote of this senator is not for sale. (Oh c'mon, Blanche, sure it is)

..this is about us, this is about who we are and I have heard your message and let tell you that I cannot feel any stronger to know that your message is loud and clear that Washington needs to work for us.

One can only wonder who this "us" she speaks of is.

5. I think you need to understand all politics is LOCAL and any Democrat from Arkansas, Nebraska. . .
. . .and many other red state are going to be left of center. I agree with running Lincoln out, but there is no reason to expect that Halter is going to be unabashed progressive.

I'm confused...
Where is the fraud? Granted, I'm not well-versed on Bill Halter or card check, but I'm also failing to see the fraud here...

12. He's a politician & astute enough not to comment on something
that has no immediate relevance and could cost him a few votes going into the primary or general. That's what pols do--deflect those areas that they can....

The unions are supporting him strongly, so they must feel fairly comfortable.

10. It is a dead bill because of conservocrats like Lincoln
and Landrieu and Ben Nelson.

So yes, what he said was correct.

Tonight Arkansas Democrats will hold Lincoln accountable for her actions.

11. Halter is an Ark democrat, not much different from Lincoln
the internet "left" talk as if he is a socialist, but he is just another moderate. Thats the best we can get from Arkansas.

13. Lincoln was special
she wasn't just a moderate, she was 100% owned by corporations. One of the handful of total corporate dems including Ben Nelson and Mary Landrieu. I see no sign of Halter being like that.

21. I hope so!
I am pissed that 42 polling places have been reduced to just 2 here in Garland County (Hot Springs, AR) where Bill Halter is very popular. Someone set this up so he would get less votes to give Blanche a better chance to win. Hot Springs, AR is a big place! We will see.

23. You may not like it, but that's not what "fraud" means
he's just being political in a state that's tough for labor and Democrats.

fraud is deception for personal gain --that's not what he's doing. obfuscating at most --but there ain't a politician ever been elected nor will there be that doesn't do that at least once in a while.

We can't have anybody in the Senate who doesn't like cinnamon pop tarts.

He's an unpardonable scar on the smooth skin of democracy!

26. I hate to say this
...but he does come across as a bit weasely.

To address your O/P however, he said he already had assurances from unions that the card check was not an issue with them since they also agreed that it wasn't a viable option (and he had one other reason.)

27. A lot of Dems are regretting Blanche Lincoln's votes of late,
and that's why she only finished ahead of Halter in the first round by the hair on her chinny-chin-chin.

We'll see how the returns come in later this evening, but it seems to me the unions knew what they were doing in backing Halter for this nomination.

We understand that Bill Halter is not Russ Feingold. Even more we understand it's time for Blanche Lincoln to be shown the door.
