He's clearly has gone to the Sestak school of politics.

1. Not true.
Romanoff has actually refused to talk about these charges.

In fact, the main person in Colorado trying to gin-up a scandal is "birther bigot", Teabagger sympathizer and very angry old white guy, Peter Boyles, a radio talk show host on 630 AM KHOW.

3. Obama had a word with several people contemplating challenging Gillibrand in NY.
There's nothing wrong with this. It's inside politics. Sestak's mistake is that he didn't keep it inside but saddled it and rode it through the primary without giving much thought to the repercussions of divulging such info heading into the GE.

10. Then Obama should have stayed out of it.
Why should Andrew Romanoff have to play along with these political games. He has every right to run for the office he chooses to.

18. Fair enough, but he needs to get a handle on his staff if this is going on
behind his back. When you ran on changing the way things are done in Washington, you can't have the White House doing this.

The bullying and the strong-arm tactics are an
EMBARRASSMENT and an outrage.

How about we let Democratic VOTERS decide
on our representatives.

no one is out to get POTUS.

Okay, one more time....Colorado Dems wanted Andrew Romanoff, we love him, he's smart, a damned good legislature and all round good guy. Worked his ass off - he's not a millionaire.

Colorado Dems were furious with the choice of Michael Bennet and right off the bat he's voting with the GOP on all sorts of things. Until Andrew Romanoff announced his candidacy, and suddenly Sen. Bennet was acting more like a Democrat.

Unless you're from Colorado, I don't get why this is driving you crazy?

Romanoff will be elected, Bennet can have that job in the White House, or come back to CO and make more millions by working for Phillip Anschwitz.

Andrew will work with Democrats and POTUS, life goes on.

This is not the end of the world for President Obama. Perhaps President Obama will think twice before he gets this involved in a controversial race. On the other hand, this race shouldn't even be controversial - Bennet was selected, but Colorado wanted Andrew Romanoff!!

Many of us encouraged him to run, including me at the park one day. He heard it from so many Coloradan's, he decided to go for it. He's very recognizable, as where Sen. Bennet is a stranger, and a terrible speaker. There's a reason why you don't see him on TV - Andrew is a better politician and speaker - because he's been there, done that and we like him.

Let it go dude!

9. You Don't Know Andrew Romanoff
do you?

He's who Colorado Democrats wanted as their Senator from the get-go. Our Gov, asked his staff and Dems to "let him know who they would like to see get the appointment" - the overwhelming consensus was Andrew Romanoff.

I get sick and tired of politicians I voted and volunteered for, doing the opposite of what "the base" wants.

Does that ever bother you?

I'm sick of it.

Andrew Romanoff will be the next Senator from Colorado.

Romanoff did nothing wrong, and I'm glad he came out with an honest statement of what happened so we can put this behind us. This election, and his progressive and anti-corporate message, is too important to get distracted by these games.

33. Romanoff issued a statement on this issue only AFTER the White House disclosed it.
Before the White House made it a headline, Romanoff had steadfastly refused to comment on allegations that the White House offered him a job as a quid pro quo for not opposing Bennet.

BESIDES WHICH, what the White House did was sleazy and wrong!

Gasp! Ignorance on GD-P? Whodathunkit?

34. So, you think Romanoff and Sestak are starting controversy purposely?
Laughable theory. I think the real story is the Obama administration attempting to dissuade Progressives from running, in favor of running more conservative DLC New Dem type Democrats. With a moniker like 'LeftyandProud' I'd think you would be more supportive of the Progressive candidates, and not DLC New Dems. Maybe 'RightyOfCenteryAndProud' is still available here.
