Haley officially launches Senate bid
Kansas Sen. David Haley will officially launch his bid for the Democratic Party's nomination for this year's midterm U.S. Senate race.

Haley will make the announcement later this morning at The Dole Courthouse. Haley, the longtime state senator from Kansas City, Kan., last ran for the Kansas Secretary of State race.

After securing the party's nomination, Haley was defeated in the general election.
