Gallup has bad news for Pundits
The new daily tracking poll doesn't fit their Obama Is terrable message.

Approval 50(+3)
Disapproval 44(-2)

I keep telling people gallup Is a seesaw. They may have Obama down for awhile but he will come back up.

Predictions of Obama's demise has been greatly exaggerated.

6. And I love Joe, but I only want him to take over if it was
absolutely necessary. I mean, has a President ever resigned before in the middle of their term (except Nixon)? With a 50% approval rating?!

The absurdity of it all....

7. Don't forget that the republicons still control the electronic voting machines.

All this bad publicity and constant drumbeat of "the tide is turning against dems" is just cover for the next time the corporate right steals an election.

2. Reminds me of "Clinton's 'Failed' Presidency." Gallup doesn't balance its sample well, hence,
the volatility in their surveys.

In 2000, they had huge swings in their daily tracking numbers.

3. Yes, it is better, but is 50% approval reason for dancing in the streets?

"cerebral response" to the oil leak.

10. Clinton and Reagan were both lower at this point in their Presidencies.
So yeah, I would say that is a pretty good # with the economy and a gigantic oil spill.

4. Considering Gallup leans right

Obama's true approval rating is higher than 50%.

16. They had to counteract that 50% with something!
Love how they had to put right under today's 50% approval that he hit a low last week. Oops!
