3. Thanks for the pic! What is it with Obama and rain?

Remember the rally in the rain during the campaign? And then the rain followed him to Louisiana when he went for the oil spill the first time. There have been other times of him in the rain too. Doesn't seem bother him much.
5. There was a massive thunderstorm here in CT last week.
It was after the near 90 degree day we had. My kitty was frightened out of her little mind and just sat real close to me.
Obama was right to tell people to get out of the rain...lightening is no joke, getting electrocuted can be deadly. My husband works for a utility company. He has some stories he tells me about what happened to past workers. No lightening but dealing with live wires. I am actually glad he moved to the natural gas side. Eeek. Now live wires AND thunderstorms are even more fun, and the guys from CT Light and Power are called out all the time during storms to deal with downed wires.
11. There was NO mention of this today, even as the media says Obama needs to "touch people"
and "reach out to people" claiming that he's "cerebral" but "doesn't connect to people." Maybe they don't REPORT on it, but he definitely connects to people.
