Why does John King think Americans give a shit about Carville and fucking Mary Matalin
Edited on Thu May-27-10 06:26 PM by tranche
I'm rolling on the floor watching Matalin try to squeeze out a tear, but that's about all I'm getting out of this. It just seems so plastic and staged. There's real people out there that are having problems and he's interviewing career political attack dogs.

2. James Carville is a piece of shit. "Obama is not believable that he will be in it for the long term
for the people of Lousiana.

Fuck him, what more does he want from Obama. He has become the Republican talking point for Obama not handling this right, and he keeps handing them more and more ammunition.

3. If Obama were to approach this from a purely political standpoint
He'd tell the people of Louisiana to go shit in their hat. They aren't gonna vote for him or support any of his programs so why should he give a rats ass what happens to them.
If he imposes a moratorium on drilling in the gulf they'll all squeal like a sow in heat and whine that he's taking away their livelihood. And of course their politicians will continue to snivel about the federal government and how it's trampling on their rights. And the next time there's a hurricane they'll all holler again for federal assistance.

It's because Obama is a statesman that he is attempting to make things right for these people who hate his guts.

And James Matalin is as bad as any of them. He's still nursing a grudge against Obama from the 2008 campaign and he's pissed off that Howard Dean got the DNC chairmanship job and got a bunch of Democrats elected in 2006. He had kind of disappeared but now he's back as much of a caricature as ever.

He's the one with no hair right? The one that's always on with him that has hair is even uglier than he is. I think the one with hair is the woman.

4. If Carville was saying Obama was doing good work, CNN wouldn't put him on the air.
They love the drama of a good infight.

6. Cable News is all about Sensationalism
They wouldn't have that clown on if he wasn't criticizing Obama.

Same way with Krugman. They ignore him unless he attacks Obama on something

7. The facts:
Thad Allen called Carville last week to discuss the government response
but Carville had not called him back.

Your phone is ringing, Carville. Perhaps you can stop talking long enough to
call folks back! :eyes:

8. Funny, but I don't remember Matalin EVER criticizing Bush, et al for ANYTHING back in the day
Yet her husband is all too happy to stand next to her absolutely trashing our current president because he hasn't singlehandedly stopped the oil spill.

The Carville-Matalin dog-and-pony show has long worn out its welcome - but it's amusing that Carville, the so-called political genius, allows himself to be so outmaneuvered in their little game.

10. Carville is loud, so he's automatically considered a "good interview."
He isn't, but that's his rep. Personally, I think he peaked the night he wore the trash can on his head.

As for Matalin...well, I've got very little nice to say there.

16. Because they have a contract on the show. I can take Begala. I can handle Donna Brazille.
I can even take Gergen and Ed Rollins (who one would think is annoying but is usually pretty honest about Rethug mistakes). But Carville and Matalin make my skin crawl. Plastic and fake says it all.

like they are the only people in the US that CNN can have as commentators.

we already know what they think. over and over and over we know.
