17. As he stands on principles with respect to the civil rights act
he should also refuse to accept medicare patients. Yes of course his business would suffer, as he would lose half of his patients, but it is the principle here that is important. There are other ophthalmologists who will pick up the slack, so his former socialism-tainted patients will not be denied service, and Randy will not be living off of other people's money, a socialist leech as it were.

Then again if his libertarian principles are not all that important to him, why is his position on the civil rights act of '64 not just plain old racism?

13. Of course he has lots of patients on Medicare! Again, that obfuscation
if he doesn't distinguish between the ones with Medicare ONLY and the ones with Medicare and a Medicare supplement.

It makes since that he would have a lot of older patients. Everybody, if they live long enough, will get cataracts and cataract surgery is covered by Medicare. That's enough right there to provide a nice living for an eye doctor. Aging really affects the eyes in other ways, too.

So Doc Paul isn't just a kindly physician nobly treating the old folks...

14. Not much of a difference
With or without a supplement or an advantage plan, the money still comes from the same two places, the Government and the patient.

18. How does his patients get to his office,
almost all roads and buses are run and maintained by the Government and just about all of us use them, if he has his way he'll have to build his own roads and run his own buses or his practice will die on the vine?
