LAST NIGHT'S BIG LOSERS: NATIONAL REPUBLICANS

LAST NIGHT'S BIG LOSERS: NATIONAL REPUBLICANS

National GOP Backed Losing Candidates In Two Primaries ... Tea Party Favorite Rand Paul Wallops GOP Establishment Pick In KY-SEN Primary ... Scoreboard

One thing is certain, Republicans are going to have issues. The problem is not that the GOP-backed candidate lost, it's that the GOP now has to support the teabagger's radical agenda. The media is hyping the loses by Democratic incumbents, but unlike the GOP, the Democratic candidates who won are solid Democrats.

9. I'd be careful touting that too much because Obama is 0 for 4. I have a feeling a lot of our
candidates are going to ask Obama to not come out and campaign for them.

In other words, nah and nope.

Wins by Democrats is not something the President needs to be concerned about.

The GOP, on the other hand, have issues:

"After the candidate he handpicked to replace the sitting Senator he forced out was crushed in his own backyard, it's fair to say that Mitch McConnell was election night's biggest loser. If the loss weren't bad enough on its own, it may also impact McConnell's leadership position. Going into last night, several commentators saw the Kentucky Republican primary as proxy fight between the McConnell-backed Grayson and DeMint backed-Paul. A fight that McConnell lost, and that not only weakens his leverage in Washington and in Kentucky, but deepens the schism between the far-right and extreme right of the Republican Party."

13. Like it or not, the President in office is representative of the party, look what happened with Bush
republicans didn't want him campaigning for them.

15. "the President in office is representative of the party"
and one of the most popular Democrats in the country.

"look what happened with Bush republicans didn't want him campaigning for them."

You really see a parallel here?

against the health care bill, I don't think that bodes well at all.

Sestak won, and he voted for the health care bill. There goes that theory.

12. McConnell looks a bit like a stunned dog all the time.

He is probably wondering what to do with the two teabagger nutballs he has running as Rethugs in the GE.
