The MSM doesn't get it: Bush is stuck with the Katrina legacy. Our current President is competent.
The BP oil spill is affecting states with "drill baby, drill" advocates as governors. They are also vociferous critics of big government and federal overreach.

They defended everything Bush did, and are still trying to pretend Bush's incompetence was due to circumstances beyond his control. The RW is trying so hard to give the impression that they aren't desperate in their attempt to whitewash Bush's legacy and tarnish Obama's that they've dragged out "heck of a job" Brownie. Seriously, the guy is as moronic as he is incompetent .

The RW is simply upset that we have a competent President.

Despite all the noise, President Obama and his administration are dealing with simultaneous man-made and natural disasters, and a failed terrorist attack.

President Obama Signs Tennessee Disaster Declaration

The President on Times Square: "But as Americans, and as a Nation, We Will Not Be Terrorized"

Bush was the Katrina admnistration:

Katrina is a symbol of all this administration does and doesn't do. Michael Brown -- or Brownie as the President so famously thanked him for doing a heck of a job - Brownie is to Katrina what Paul Bremer is to peace in Iraq; what George Tenet is to slam dunk intelligence; what Paul Wolfowitz is to parades paved with flowers in Baghdad; what Dick Cheney is to visionary energy policy; what Donald Rumsfeld is to basic war planning; what Tom Delay is to ethics; and what George Bush is to “Mission Accomplished” and “Wanted Dead or Alive.” The bottom line is simple: The "we'll do whatever it takes" administration doesn't have what it takes to get the job done.

Year After Katrina, Bush Still Fights for 9/11 Image

senator called “regrettable.”

Bush offers American flags to Katrina victims.

The failed response to Katrina isn't transferable. Bush is stuck with the legacy of incompetence. His administration dallied enough to earn it.

1. Barack Obama isn't the only one who can fill a stadium. Republicans can fill a stadium, too!

for signing the Tennessee Disaster Declaration. It means a lot to this DUer because we know (or knew) people that have lost their lives, homes, businesses, and everything--damaged or destroyed--without flood insurance. One of the subdivisions I once lived at is now gone.

It is a very sad situation and will involve a long recovery, but Nashville and the historical landmarks will bounce back.

Your competence is being apprciated, Mr. President. Thanks. :patriot:
