So the President and democratic congress should slow down the financial reform
bill because it is a win/win for democrats. The Republicans either piss off their real base (rich elites) and support some parts of the financial reform bill or they piss off their political base (freepers and teabaggers) by not supporting reform at all.

Either way they suffer a loss every time this conundrum makes it to the news.

So slow down democrats. Take your time. Let this debate go on until late summer or so.

1. That just leads to option (c):
Make Democrats look like dithering fools who can't govern.

the opportunity to work the crowds and create another disinformation campaign like they did for HCR. Best to get it done now while the irons are hot.

7. Perhaps. But I think the republicans are hurting now and that is nice to see because they
are so mean to the middle class not to mention the poor.

9. I was watching CNN yesterday and the GOP seemed to be scrambling to come up with a
coherent strategy on financial regulation reform. They mumbled something about Fannie May and Freddie Mac. They looked bad. I'm going to enjoy it for however long it lasts. You should keep your eyes open to republican discombobulation in the weeks to come.
