Grayson: Bring The Troops Home
By: Teddy Partridge Monday November 30, 2009 4:43 pm

Well, that’s one Congressman who agrees with my frequent plea:

Troops
Home
Now

1. Mine too
I liked that he wasn't afraid to say that Obama has left his base. Brave man he is, and totally correct.

8. Nothing on the line?
Grayson and Kucinich both have to run for re-election in 2010, so I disagree that they have nothing on the line. And where are the other Democrats on this? Are they going to continue to fund these undeclared wars of aggression? What happened to Obama's pledge to bring the troops home? You gotta' walk the walk not just talk the talk! I am so disappointed. I lived through the Vietnam era and they are using the same excuses as then. Oh, we're going to "train their security forces" or "we need to clean up the corruption in their government". It's deja-vu. We can't clean up the corruption in our own government!

Bring our troops home now!

11. Welcome to DU!!
Yep it's the same crap, just a different day. We heard all this before and we were fooled then (some of us) and now we hear the same again. They are lying to us again.

9. Hard to take this kind of pandering seriously, when the President
Edited on Sat Dec-05-09 02:08 PM by Phx_Dem
just announced plans to send more troops to Afganistan. It's one thing for Grayson to make a statement saying he disagrees with Obama's Afganistan plans and doesn't support the war, but his plea to "bring the troops home" sounds like populist pandering. The President announced 4 days ago that he was sending more troops so, clearly, he's not "bringing them home now," Grayson. What part of that don't you get?

Grayson had his day in the sun for his Republican slapdown, and now he wants more so he's pandering to the left by making statements that he knows fully well will not be met.

10. Right
He should STFU. Obama has made the decision and we should all just STFU?

Wrong. F'n wrong as can be.
