Republicans see 2010 election as opportunity to create gridlock
Edited on Wed Apr-21-10 10:07 AM by ProSense
Despite the media's ridiclous projections of a GOP takeover, it means nothing in terms of actual legislating as long as President Obama is in office. They can't repeal anything, and the President still has several months to push for major legislation.

The Party of No simply wants a few more seats in 2010 to have the ability to grind the Democratic agenda to a screeching halt.

So if they get a few more seats in 2010, what does that mean for 2012?

It's possible that the gridlock they create will work against them in two years, but we'll see.

Still, what if they remain in the minority?

1. I hope so much that when the day comes and we have a GOP president and a GOP Senate
that the Democrats will have learned something from all of this--not to play nice with them. Treat them as they have treated us.

3. Unlike republicans, Democrats believe in government
We're the adults; they're the children. Democrats will never pull these asinine stunts.

2. All the reason for the freight train to get rolling out of the station but it has no gas.
