Ron Paul Endorses John Hostettler for Senate
LAKE JACKSON, Texas--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Congressman Ron Paul has endorsed former Congressman John Hostettler in the Republican primary for United States Senate from Indiana.

Said Dr. Paul, “I am proud to endorse Republican John Hostettler for United States Senate.

“John was a good friend and valuable ally against big government when we served together in the House of Representatives. I always knew I could count on John to vote his principles.

“John Hosteller will do the work to fight for lower taxes and spending and for more freedom in Washington. John also understands that we need to fight for a stronger national defense, where we support our troops and defend our country without policing the world or subsidizing the security of other wealthy nations.

2. It is very nice to see Ron Paul getting some press
The teabagger thing is a real boost for Ron Paul as he pretty much has the Tea platform under his belt..
If Ron Paul and his support can be valued by the GOP, perhaps the dems will one day value the support of Dennis Kucinich..

3. I'm not Ron Paul fan,
but at least he's a social libertarian. I find it highly ironic that Sarah Palin's branch of the Tea Party goes on and on about big government and freedom, and yet they want government in everybody's bedroom.

4. i would expect a "social libertarian" to be supportive of efforts to overturn laws
that define marriage as the union of a male and a female. By that measure, Mr. Paul is not a social libertarian since he wants to take the power to strike down such laws away from the courts.

5. I was not aware of that.
Thank you. I guess as far as Teabaggers go, anyone to the left of Sarah Palin almost seems sane. I'm suffering from an extreme case of Palin fatigue, so I may not be as discerning as I should be.

6. There are right leaning libertarians and left leaning ones
Paul is right leaning, while Jesse Ventura is left leaning. Paul is a paleo-libertarian, which is quite different. Paleos are mixes of Republicans and Libertarians. Real true Libertarians want nothing to do with either Party.
