Wealthy executive shakes up Georgia governor's race
A wealthy real estate executive shook up the Georgia governor's race this week by promising to reach out to the Tea Party with a multi-million dollar, self-funded campaign.

Morgan County Republican Ray Boyd launched his gubernatorial run by writing himself a $2 million check. He told reporters it "is not for show."

"I'm going to try to be a we-the-people candidate. In normal times, a person like me would get ground up, but this is not normal times," he told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "I'm running as a Ronald Reagan Republican, but I'm going to have both sides attacking me, because I'm for term limits."

He plans to seek the backing of the Tea Party.

1. If only the teabaggers were intelligent to realize what putzes they
are for letting these rich scumbags exploit them. It really is incredible.

2. A Ronald Reagan Republican is synonymous with the tooth fairy

That name is something that teabaggers and right wing Republicans throw out every chance they get hoping it will return big dividends--just like a five year child hides a tooth beneath a pillow expecting some magical nymph to drop in and leave a dollar. At least the child will eventually grow out of it. Pity the Repubs. I'm gonna bet that 75 percent of them never met Reagan and don't know Reagan's real record or what he stood for. Such as raising taxes during his term in office--how is that compatible to what these whack job Republicans stand for? Ever hear Cantor or Boehner or Mccain tak about raising taxes? That is precisely why Nancy, Patty and Ron Jr. avoid them like a water borne disease. These other clowns are simply revisionists--make up shit as you go along.

a great amount of money and a large number of votes from the GOP. Maybe a Democrat will be the next Goernor of Georgia in part because of Mr.Boyd's campaign.
