Make No Mistake...I Have High Respect for Barack Obama
People seem to think that just because I don't agree with his strategy that I don't like him. Yes, he could've been more of a leader on this issue. But with the way the Republicans are acting right now, I think even those of us who don't like the bill and disagree (sometimes strongly) with Party leadership...really should get behind him on this one. Republicans are foaming at the mouth, some calling for assassination and being openly racist. God forbid, but if anything ever happened to Barack Obama, the GOP and their fearmongering enablers online and on FAKE News need to be held partially responsible. They have built up so much talk of socialism and veiled racism that the Becks and Limbaugh's of the GOP are practically begging for something to happen. Democrats, even those who disagree with the bill should get behind him based on that alone. This has gone entirely too far, and Democratic politicians (or maybe the DNC as a whole) need to stop caring about what's PC and good for their damn image and need to call these people out. The nonchalant attitude of the DNC is making me even more mad. Obama is YOUR President! Defend him!

1. If Obama hadn't led, there'd be no reform. Period. n/t

2. I didn't say he wasn't a leader...I said he could've done more
But now that I think about it. Even with what he's done, he has Republicans jumping off a cliff. If he'd done more, who knows what would've happened.

4. I suppose he could have taken a loaded gun to Congress
Honestly, the man has been personally enaged on an almost daily basis for a year. While pulling the economy back from disaster, refocusing the war in Afghanistan, preparing Iraq for redeployment of troops, creating an energy plan, moving education to the 21st century, and trying to get a climate change bill.

People who expect more, quite frankly, are either delusional or nuts.

I like that Democrats typically support this notion. The Republicans by and large do not because they are so lock-step.
