Edited on Sun Nov-29-09 07:53 AM by LaydeeBug
doesn't mean I will walk lock step behind every move this administration makes. I will HOLD HIS FEET TO THE FIRE on Health Care, you BEST believe that. (I've said that before, and I will say it again in front of God and everybody). FDR made a good point about the electorate making him hold his promises, and that is EXACTLY what I intend to do.

No better, no worse.

Now, *my* specific thing is Health Care. I expect more to be done, period. I will scream from the mountaintops about this shit, because it is important to me. We *NEED* a better public option than the one they are bantering about at this point. It is my DUTY as an American citizen to fight for it. And ('scuse the profanity ladies and gentlemen, or...stop reading here is f bombs bother you) there isn't a fucktard out there that's gonna tell me any different about what it means to be a Democrat. In fact, when this administration strongly upholds the platform of our Party, I'll *consider* shutting up about this.

Notice I said "consider".

2. I'm with you...
and not just on health care. There was an article in Time about the ouster of Greg Craig. Here's the link if you want to read it:www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,1940537,00.html.

The article talks about some of Obama's shifts toward Bush's policies in the so called (my words) war on terror. I am not happy.

4. I actually thought he should not have accepted Craig's resignation, but have to choose my battles...
I was pissed about that bigot Rick Warren speaking at the inaugural too, but again, I will not agree 100% with anybody.

But on health care, when they took single payer off the tables and nary a word out of that White House...don't piss on my boots and tell me it's raining.

9. Some people think that holding his feet to the fire actually means
bathing them in wet, sloppy kisses.

You will, no doubt, hear from that faction soon.

15. while that might be true, sometimes it just means that calling him out on an issue does NOT mean
we're not Peoples anymore.

This is starting to get to be bullshit.

10. Good
The best thing you could do to get a better public option is educate the people of Arkansas so Blanche Lincoln will do the right thing. Got any ideas for that?

14. My, my, my, Miss CaliforniaPeggy!!!

Mr. Obama seems to have hedged his bets on this VITAL issue. On one hand, he wants to be the last president to deal with health care. On the other, he doesn't come out with a plan. He should have been screaming (in the WH sense, which means issuing polite reminders) single payer from the get go. Baucus should have been dealt with. But he wasn't. And yet these people are allowed to manufacture US policy based on someone else's sense of SPITE. It is abhorrent.

and I am unwilling to throw anyone under the bus for political gain. That's all. It's what those assholes do, not us.
