11. Maybe they read this week's issue of

US Weekly..they have a big ol' picture of Angelina Jolie as quoted from un-named sources that she "hates Pres Obama and he's a socialist .. smoke and mirrors".

The exact thing her father, jon voight was quoted as saying about PO. Either she did or she didn't..if she did then perhaps they got back together recently over their shared hatred of Obama and she got the stupid gene from him.

I remember reading that political leanings, whether left (intelligent) or right (stupid) are often inherited. I've also noticed that part of it is parental brainwashing. I've lived and taught public school in Republican Orange County -- home of Pastor (P)Rick Warren's Saddleback Church. I've known a lot of students and even friends of mine who knew absolutely nothing about politics but would very obiously just parrot ignorant things their parents told them. Their parents, in turn, were parroting Limbaugh, etc. Actually, I'm sure we've all had this experience.

12. I had the same discussion

with someone I know who's a Palinite. I pointed out that all of Obama's policies are centrist (at best). She replied that deep down he's a secret socialist (even if there's no evidence in his actions).

I then pointed out that Palin presided over the Alaska Permanent Fund which taxed the oil companies then used the money for a government handout to every Alaskan, which sounded pretty socialist to me. She'd never heard of it (being a Fox News viewer) then said that even if it was true it didn't matter as Palin had spoken about conservative principles.

So, her basic logic was that:

1) it doesn't matter what Obama says or does - he's a socialist.
2) it doesn't matter what Palin does - as long as she says she's a conservative, she's OK.

Try http://pollingplace.delaware.gov/ to check out if they vote. I don't know if they show the times that they vote. But if they do and it shows that they don't vote regularly that would be ammo against them when they complain.

What's so damned bad about socialism, anyway? If they get their world view from Fox News, they are ill prepared to do more than stammer in lieu of an informed response. They truly don't even know why they find socialism so bad. They just know it's really really bad.
