3. I thought it was Friday. I suggested the poster refresh bloomberg.com every 2 mins.
The stock market needs a strong does of prozac when you see that. Or it suffers from multiple personalities.

Best to ignore the daily swings.

2. I find it interesting that some people have a kiniption when it drops 150+ points, but
when it gains 150 points, they are silent, or try to pass it off as anything bad they can think of.

I said in a previous post in a previous thread, that the market frequently fluctuates +/- 2% (which is 150 to 200 points depending on level) in daily sessions. So, to take a single snapshot and use that as an example of national economic health, good, or bad, is foolish.

It's better to look at monthly trends.

What was the Dow at in the first Monday of January 2009? first Monday of February 2009? first Monday of March 2009? ... first Monday of February 2010?

That's a better indicator of the general direction.

5. It's not rocket science.
Every one is selling and market drops a bunch. BUY
Market goes way up people are buying. SELL

I bought some Ford at $1.82

I sold some gold at $1,200

Now I'm think Toyota might be getting near bottom.
